Thursday 16 October 2025 (Week 1)
A note from Mr Pardini
Dear Families,
Welcome back from holidays everyone! I trust you all enjoyed some quality time with family and are recharged and ready to take on the fun of Term 4.
Feast Day Mural - If you haven't already seen the St Brigid's mural which was completed on Feast Day last term, make sure you swing past the undercover area to take a look. Thanks to everyone's input, the work of art is truly that - a magnificent piece of art which highlights our region centralised by St Brigid our school's patron saint. The mural will be set on the wall facing the undercover area as an icon reflecting the charism of our school for many years to come. Thank you once again to Mrs Beesley, Mrs Price, Mr Beesley and Mr McDonald for their time in preparing the mural to be displayed.
Talison Grant - I am pleased to announce St Brigid's application for a grant has been successful from Talison Lithium. Following the Blues weekend, we will be engaging several contractors to carry out some work on the basketball court area which will include the installation of retaining walls and steps to the oval, lighting and power as well as a drink fountain and bottle filler. In the new year, (unfortunately not until February) the final piece of the puzzle will take place, which will see the court surface totally upgraded to include a new blue plexipave finish with fresh new line markings.
Code of Conduct - A reminder, in every newsletter you will now see a Code of Conduct statement below. This is a quick way to familiarise everyone with the Code of Conduct that exists in our school community, and to also raise the profile of its importance in maintaining a healthy school community.
P&F new BBQ - Our thanks to the wonderful P&F who have purchased a brand new BBQ for the school. This is a much needed investment in our fundraising events and will be certainly put to good use this term. It looks so shiny and new!!!!
2026 – Thank you to the St Brigid’s community who have been supportive in the announcement made on Monday regarding my appointment to the role of Regional Officer in 2026. It was a very difficult decision to apply for another position and not one that I made lightly. This term will conclude my eight year tenure at St Brigid's and I look forward to being surrounded by all the joy and festivity I know comes with Term 4. Although I will not be the Principal of St Brigid's from the 1 January, 2026, I assure all families and students that I am committed to being present for the remainder of this year. When I think about what my life will be like 'after St Brigid's' I can honestly say, I know I will miss so many parts of this awesome school. I look forward to the weeks ahead and I am comforted knowing that in my new role as Regional Officer in 2026, I will have the opportunity to visit St Brigid's each term in the future.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
