Thursday 30 October 2025 (Week 3)
A note from Mr Pardini
Dear Families,
MJR Award- Congratulations to the latest recipient of our 'Making Jesus Real' award - Mylah McDonald. At last week's assembly, it seemed like it was quite a shock for Mylah who received lots of nominations from peers and staff. It was lovely to read some of the nominations which we write into the certificate. Congratulations Mylah on receiving this accolade which highlights the beautiful person you are! Here is what was written on her certificate...
Congratulations Mylah! You have always been a considerate, kind and caring student of our school. You are always ready to help others in need and this has come to be the reason why everyone respects you. We all love your sense of humour and the individual person you are. Mylah, you are such a quiet achiever who works hard at anything and everything you are asked to do. Thank you for Making Jesus Real in our school and for being YOU!
Sustainability Talks - This week students from Year 1 to Year 6 were involved in a free presentation by the Bridgetown Shire regarding waste education. These sessions will highlight some of the waste recycling efforts that take place in our shire and provide an awareness to students on how we can be supportive of these important initiatives.
St Brigid's Athletics Carnivals - It is that time of year again! Next week we will host our Faction carnivals on our school oval. We look forward to welcoming families to school on these days to cheer your children on and support their faction for the all-important and coveted shield! A reminder next week, canteen will operate a limited lunch menu only on Thursday. Please note there will not be recess menu on Thursday so you are asked to provide this for your children so they can snack during the carnival events. Orders for Thursday lunch will close the day before the carnival (Wednesday 5 November). Good luck to all our competitors and may your team win!!!
- Monday 3 November - Jumps and throw carnival (Y1-6)
- Thursday 6 November - Athletics carnival with team games (KG - Y6)
Blues Weekend - At the end of next week we once again welcome over 160 people who camp in their caravans, motor homes, tents and camper trailers on our oval. Each year the vehicles seem to get bigger and bigger! In the morning, we will be treated to a former student of St Brigid's, Charlie Youngson as he entertains our school, together with Bridgetown Primary School with a special concert. This will take place on our basketball court at 11.00am. We love the Blues and thank all our families for your support with the rostered jobs we have to assist the P&F with this massive fundraiser weekend.
Pupil Free Day - A reminder, Monday 10 November (the Monday after the Blues weekend) is a pupil free day for St Brigid's. I am sure all families will welcome this day at home after the busy Blues weekend. School will resume on Tuesday 11 November.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
